Deep relaxation – yoga nidra
A 60 minute yoga class with Rubén Vásquez, M.Ed., ERYT500
Understandably, many people in our community are under a lot of stress due to the recent hurricanes. Although the storms have passed, there are still many things to fix, recover, organize, etc.
This yoga class will focus on the deep relaxation offered by yoga nidra so that you can feel the release of tension and stress and feel ready to move forward.
Some of you have asked me for a Yoga Nidra class, and I can see that we could all use some deep relaxation.
Yoga Nidra is a guided meditation practice that helps you enter a state between waking and sleeping. In addition to relaxation, Yoga Nidra is used as a way to set a meaningful intention for our lives. In this class, we will do a short movement practice to relax the body and mind. Then you will lie down on the floor in whatever position is most comfortable for you. (Bring pillows or blankets if that would be conducive to your being relaxed and still.
I hope you can join us in gradually returning to a sense of peace and well-being.
