Namaste,
Y.O.G.A. S.I.M.P.L.E.
As we go deeper in our exploration of our awareness it is useful to find a logical approach to practicing.
Keep it S.I.M.P.L.E. Self-Inquiry to Modulate Predilections for Life Enrichment.

Self-Inquiry. Because yoga is your personal journey of discovery, it works best when you are curious to really know yourself. Curiosity makes it easier to become familiar with your thoughts, emotions, breath, and body from a calm and non-judgmental perspective.
Modulate predilections. The better you know yourself, the easier it is to realize that we all have habits, preferences, and inclinations. Noticing these tendencies enables you to distinguish between those that are helpful and those that are not.
Life Enrichment. Having clarity about our tendencies and their effects makes it easier to make intelligent choices that enhance the quality of our participation in life, including the quality of our relationships with ourselves, those around us, and the world at large. This is a reminder that the primary goal of our practice is to feel that the quality of our participation in our lives makes them meaningful and fulfilling. And perhaps our practice can gradually lead us to appreciate everything in our lives, including the rewarding experiences and the challenging events that lead us to broaden our perspective.
Today’s practice is very simple. We will concentrate on feeling the sensations on the tip of the tongue. In yoga, this is one of the traditional points of concentration (Yoga Sutra 3.1 Concentration).
Try this exercise several times over the next few days and be curious to notice if there are any patterns in your distractions. What is interesting enough to distract your attention? Are they always the same distractions or are they changing? Is it possible to modulate the distractions? Are they helpful or not?
I’m curious to know: is there anything that made this practice easier or harder?
Thank you for practicing with me,
Peace and health,
